Vintage treasure and organic delights

On a recent trip to the Sunshine Coast we stopped for breakfast in Yandina. A friend had recommended an organic cafe called Goodness Gracious. It is located just around the corner from the local Yandina pub. The cafe is inside an old house. The food is fantastic, but the thing we really loved about Goodness Gracious was that the owners are avid collectors and so the shop is stocked with great vintage and retro pieces. Homewares, lamps, art, furniture, collectables and bricabrac all for sale. We sat in the main part of the cafe surronded by hutches filled with pre loved treasures. There are separate rooms to explore and some gorgeous barsony lamps were a treat to see. We had a great time and will definitely visit Goodness Gracious next time we are up that way. Lovers of organics, vintage and retro will love this place.

3rd Annual Frocks, Docs & Diamonds fashion parade is on again.

It has been a while since we last posted on our blog. But we are getting back on track and will continue to post on a more regular basis. (fingers crossed). The centre continues to buzz along nicely and we are currently getting organised for our 3rd annual Frocks, Docs & Diamonds vintage fashion parade. This is always a fantastic night and a lot of fun. With great fashion, drinks and nibbles, gorgeous models out to have a fun night on the catwalk. You can check out our previous nights on our facebook page in our photos. The date for this years event is Friday June 1st with a 6.30 start. There will also be a vintage fashion market on the sidewalk Saturday morning after the parade. Tickets will be available at the counter or pay with credit card over the phone. Will advise when tickets go on sale. This is always a sell out event!

 

TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT

We are happy to have Travels with my Aunt (Shop 65) moving into the centre this month. Some of you may be familiar with their shop in Nundah. Sisters Merrill and Robyn specialise in vintage finery and collectables, precious adornments and small antiques. Their shop will be brimming with fine and costume jewellery, interesting hats and unique wearables from home and abroad, vintage accessories and handbags. These are offset with artisan jewellery treasures by Caroline Trask and a unique mix of designer jewellery, selected old wares, and a spectacular range of beautiful collectable buttons.
